Kenyan socialite Amber Ray does not play when it comes to hosting lavish parties.
This weekend, she threw a birthday party for her daughter Africana who turned a year older last week, together with her husband Kennedy Rapudo.
Celebrities like Risper Faith, Obinna, Dem wa Facebook, Eric Omondi and his fiance Lynne Njihia, Cuppie Ayoka, Eddie Butita, Phoina Tosha among their other friends graced the invites only event.
From the look on photos and videos shared across multiple social media platforms, men were dressed in white as the ladies wore shades of pink among other beautiful colours.

In a heartwarming message she shared on her daughter’s birthday, Amber cherished her as she expressed gratitude of seeing her grow.
“Happy 1st birthday to our little sunshine! 🎉🎈 Today marks a year filled with countless precious moments, from your first smile to your first steps. Watching you grow and explore the world has been the greatest joy of our lives. As you turn one, know that you are deeply loved and cherished beyond words. May your life be filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures. Here’s to many more beautiful years ahead. Happy birthday, our sweet angel! 💖🎂.” the mother of two wrote on Instagram.
Days prior to the lavish party, during an interview with a local media outlet, Amber explained why she didn’t throw Gavin a very exquisite birthday as the one she was then planning to throw for Africana.
“I have planned the best, you people should just wait and see, surprises are good when untold,” she said proceeding to explain how each of her kids are different from each other.
“My son Gavin was born time ya shida, Africana was born time ya pesa. Gavin is calm and collected, Africana is the opposite. It took me 13 years to get another baby. I am a very strong, fertile Kamba woman, I didn’t want to go to the Matatu with a child anymore. Women should get kids when they are comfortable and when they want to, that’s a permanent decision. If you can, jipange.”
The couple which was rumoured to be broke when they decided to relocate to Syokimau seems to have proven haters wrong .
