Kibra-born rap sensation Stevo Simple Boy has revealed that he once died before coming back to life.
In an interview with Vlogger Trudy Kitui, Stevo said the experience happened when he was still young.
According to him, it happened when he was very sick medication failed to work.
Stevo says that his mother gave up and was convinced that he was dead but by God’s grace, he returned back to life.
“Jambo la kwanza mimi nikiwa mtoto mdogo nilikuwa nimegonjeka sana hadi nilifariki. Nilifariki by the way kupitia neema zake Mungu akanirejeshea uhai tena. Mama yangu mzazi alikuwa amenipeleka hospitali akagivre up akasema huyu ameshaenda. Nikadungwa sindano nikapewa madawa hazikuwa zinafanya kazi lakini kupitia uwepo wa Mungu nikarudi back,” the artist opened up.
The brief moment of passing away, he says, affected him mentally and health-wise.

At the same time, Stevo explained why he was yet to release any gospel songs. Previously, he had informed his fans that he was quitting secular music.
“You can’t plan to travel and say that you will arrive at a specified time. It’s a journey. But my next song is a surprise,” he said.
He also said that he feels bad when people don’t consider him an artist and when they claim he can’t stand on his own.
“Where am I currently?” he challenged the naysayers.” I am just a human being like you. I don’t have a lot of money but the little I get can sustain me and the rest goes to citizens.”
“Don’t judge a book by its cover. Don’t judge a person that he is not able, he has his grace from God,” Stevo added.
