Wegesha

Police have tracked down the vehicle used by Jackson Bamboo the main suspect in the murder of slain Ohangala dance queen Sheila Wegesha, in a parking lot in Nairobi city center.

The Mitsubishi Outlander was discovered at KenCom in Nairobi CBD after police used a tracking device to locate it.

Chief of Investigation in Athi River Wesley Lang’at reported the vehicle after confirming that it’s registration matched Bamboo’s details.

It was then that the police determined that he left the automobile in the possession of a security officer for whom he had paid Ksh 430 in parking costs.

“The man exited the automobile after paying for parking. He said he was going to the Afya Centre and would be back, but he never returned.” Lang’at said.

According to police, Bamboo, deceased’s husband, left his matrimonial residence at 1:00 a.m. in the family vehicle, moments after he allegedly committed the heinous act.

They have however been able to track the suspect’s final signal at Narok at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 9th.

“It indicates that the man escaped to the Nyanza region. So we’re on top of things, and we’re using every available method to get the man arrested.” Lang’at added.

This even as they continue looking for leads to solve the murder of the 38-year-old businesswoman who was discovered lying on her bed with a dip cut in her throat.
