A Kitengela businesswoman has threatened to sue comedian Eric Omondi, accusing him of swindling her money.
In a post shared on Facebook page known as Lady Justice Real life show, the businesswoman says that comedian was supposed to perform at her event in Kitengela but he failed to show up even after being paid in full.
“Eric Omondi I want my money. You can’t just swindle me for a turn at my event that you didn’t show up. Sipendi wizi za kijinga after paying you in full hivi ndio nyinyi hufanya. Tupatane court,” she said.
The post was accompanied by a video of Eric promoting the event.
“This Saturday all roads lead to Kitengela, the newest biggest, baddest club inaitwa Bibi ya captain. Inaweza kuwa wewe ni Bibi ya pilot, bibi ya doctor bibi ya engineer sisi wote tunapatana kwa bibi ya captain lounge. Pale ni kucheka mpaka che. Kuja ucheke kosa uchekelewe. The president will be bringing his A game in the house,” Eric said.
The businesswoman further shared the Memorandum of Understanding between Eric and her club. In the MoU it is stated that Eric was supposed to advertise and perform at the lounge on March 23.
“This Agreement is made between Bibi ya Captain Lounge herein referred to as client and Eric Omondi herein referred to as comedian/artist. Eric will market and host an event on Saturday March 23 2024,” the MoU read.
The amount that the comedian was to receive after signing the MoU was however concealed.
Eric is yet to comment on the matter.
