Orwoba

Nominated Senator Gloria Orwoba has confirmed that Pauline, the lady captured on CCVT being assaulted by a man is in danger as the assailant is threatening to kill her for exposing the footage.

Orwoba met with Pauline on May 1, days after a man, who was identified as John Noko, is seen on a viral CCTV footage attacking a lady on a wheel chair.

The nominated senator through her social media platforms confirmed that John, the man in question is a lover to Pauline and a foreigner, a Nigerian national, who is in the country on a work permit.

“I have confirmed that the man seen on the video assaulting Pauline is a foreigner and is here on a work permit. Pauline and the man have children together.” Pauline said.

The senator condemned the act terming it as inhumane emphasizing that no one has the right to assault another human like that and in this case an already vulnerable lady.

Orwoba vowing to protect Pauline and her children from the assailant, called on the relevant authorities to also expedite the process of justice for the lady.

“I would love to bring this to the attention of Kenyans, authorities and relevant officials handling the matter. Pauline has been threatened. This man has actually threatened to kill her. He wants revenge for what he claims to be CCTV leakage and for reporting the matter to police.” Orwoba said.

The matter is already in court pending hearing.

“The case is already in court awaiting a hearing. The man was taken in and he took a plea. Though there was a delay due to technicalities, the case is back on and I have taken it upon myself to follow it up.” Orwoba said.

The video circulate online on March 27,  showing Pauline on a wheelchair being slapped on the cheek and kicked by John. The altercation drew the attention of two other women who rushed to Pauline’s aid.
