Harambee Stars Captain and Forward Michael Olunga has said that they are ready to face Africa Cup of Nations Champions Ivory Coast today for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

Harambee Stars head to face Ivory Coast after 1-1 draw against Burundi last week on Friday.

“We really wanted to take maximum points against Burundi but it was so unfortunate at the end we couldn’t do it. Ofcose it was a set back, but if you look at it, we still got one point and I believe every game matters,” he said.

“Now the team is fully focused on the next task against African champions who we know will pose a different threat than that of Burundi.”

“However each and every game we have to plan and come up with a way to counter the opponent. It will not be easy but the boys are up to the challenge today,” Olunga added.
