Bongo singer Diamond Platnumz  has admitted that his song Kamwambie was inspired by a woman known as Sarah.

Sarah was among the concertgoers in his recent performance and after spotting her, Diamond decided to share that bit of his life.

According to him, he was deeply in love with Sarah, at the time when he was just beginning music but she refused to give him a chance.

“Hii nyimbo niliimba maisha yangu ya ukweli. Nilikuwa najaribu kuimba lakini kila mara nikiimba vinyimbo vinakuwa vibaya sitoki. Kumbe nilikuwa bado kuna kiwango sijafikia kulikuwa na maumivu ilikuwa niyapate. Kuna dada mmoja nampendaga sana na leo nimemwona yumo humu humu ndani,” Diamond told the audience.

He went on to direct his bodyguard to bring Sarah on the stage.

“She is the reason why I sang Kamwambie. At the time you were a young girl,” Diamond said as they embraced.

Sara was however was too shy that she couldn’t remove her hands on her face.

“She is very shy you know she has a family now, children. This is Sarah. 15 years ago I sang her Kamwambie. I used to love her so much. I am from Tandale, when I used to see her I would see Beyonce and get confused. She told me off and that is why I went to write this song. All that I wrote in the song was because of her. We later talked and squared our differences we are now friends,” he said.

This however comes at a time when Zuchu asks the crown in a concert to implore Diamond to marry her, sparking mixed reactions. Zuchu, earlier, revealed that she had ended her relationship with Diamond, who is her boss, because there was no respect in their love.
