Citizen Tv’s news anchor Victoria Rubadiri is set to Join CNN as Africa’s correspondent Six years after serving at Royal Media Services (RMS).

Anonymous sources have revealed that she will be hosting her final show during the weekend as she has already served her notice to the company.

Rubadiri during her time as RMS has hosted several shows including Citizen Weekend on Saturdays, in which she gave prominence to many issues especially those touching on social norms and culture.

In a bid to honour her tenure and bid her goodbye, her colleagues at RMS held a cake cutting ceremony this past week.

Throughout her career, Rubadiri has become one of the most sought-after journalists for her ability to tell compelling stories.

In 2020, she won the BBC World News Komla Dumor Award, allowing her to attend a training course with the BBC Academy and join the News team for three months.
Among her notable features included ‘Wombs of Sorrow’ which highlighted the experiences of women who suffered from cervical cancer.
Before joining Citizen TV, Rubadiri is known for climbing through the ranks at Nation Media Group (NMG) where she hosted the NTV Weekend Edition alongside current CNN’s journalist  Larry Madowo.
In 2009, she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Broadcast Journalism at Temple University in Philadelphia.Besides media, she has moderated high-level discussions of regional and continental importance in the past.
