Mumias East MP Peter Salasya recently walked to a beauty parlour with the intention of changing his signature hairstyle.
The controversial lawmaker is known for his rugged hair, that has been twisted like dreadlocks and at one time, President William Ruto suggested that he needs to be combing his hair, during his visit in Kakamega county in March this year.
“Ukisema nitachanua,” an excited Salasya told the president then.
Seems that Salasya had the president’s remarks in his mind, when he opted for a change of the look. Pn his Instagram, he shared a video of himself in a beauty parlour and his hairdresser had applied on his had some chemicals for straitening his hair. She combed through the hair during the process and the MP was amazed with how long his hair was.
“I have just noted that I am now giving compee ladies on hair size. I want to change my hairstyle niweke nini for real,” he said, seeking suggestions from his online followers on how to style it.

During the process, Salasya seemed relaxed as he waited for the final results, little did he know that they won’t satisfy him as well as his fans.
After the hair dresser was done, Salasya couldn’t hide his dissatisfaction.
“We nirudishie nywele yangu,” he told the hair dresser who suggested that he would rinse his hair to restore his signature look.
“Utarinse halafu ufanye aje,” Salasya’s curiosity couldn’t allow him to remain calm.
Captioning the video, he told his fans that he can’t have his hair looking like the a cat’s fur.
“Members nimewaambia wanirudishie dreadlocks zangu, my hair can’t seat like ya pusii,” he said.
