Nyamu

Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has sparked an online reaction after making a statement showing she supports the controversial Finance Bill 2024.

This made those against the bill take unpleasant action towards social media accounts of the nominated senator.

Seeming not bothered with the results of her stand on the finance bill, Nyamu stated that she is impressed with what young people have done.

“I won’t even lie I’m so so impressed by the young people of Kenya! Mmenipasha mkani unfollow mka report page zangu because of a comment I made but deep down I stand a woke youth in my country.”

However, Karen Nyamu assured the youths that their voices has not gone to waste as the government will now be accountable for the tax.

She added that she has faith in the current regime and especially to President William Ruto saying that ‘he means well’ to the country.

“Your voice hasn’t gone to waste, even when the bill eventually passes. The government will have to be accountable for every penny. I support and have immense faith in the government of the day. I believe in my boss. He means well and one day it will become apparent for all.”

Netizens have commented with most saying that she is not a youth and therefore should stop bracketing herself as a youth.

@flo_ziey: “Weee unajua bracket ya youth inaishia 35? Kojoa ulale!”

@evelyne27948: “Huyu mama anatuambia nini sasa na nani alimwambia yeye ni youth”

@oh_kerubo: “@karenzo.nyamu He is not your boss. He is the president elect. On paper he was put there by the people. We are the boss. We agree to the KPIs. You are answerable to US.”

Some other followers threaten to continue reporting and unfollowing her accounts in a move to punish her for supporting the controversial bill.
