Jose Mourinho is returning to Coaching after agreeing terms to become the new head coach of Fenerbahce.
Mourinho has been without club since early this year after being sacked by Roma in January but he is prepared to take on the new job in the Turkish super league.
Mourinho led Roma to Europe conference league success in 2021/2022, the club’s first ever European trophy, and the Europa league final in 2022/2023, but he was sacked after poor start of the season.
Mourinho has reached a verbal agreement with the Istanbul outfit and the announcement of his appointment could be made today.
The 61- year old will inherit a Fenerbahce team which finished as runners-up in the Turkish super league last season with only one defeat in all matches.
Mourinho will replace Ismail Kartal who is set to leave the club.
The two time champions league winner will reunite with former Manchester united midfielder Fred, while Edin Dzeko, Dusan Tadic and Mitchy Batshuayi feature among former ex-premier league contingent in Istanbul.
