Former Churchill show comedian Vincent Mwasia aka Chipukeezy  has insisted that polygamy is in his lineage and before he 40, he will have multiple wives.

Chipukeezy rose to prominence after joining the cast of The Churchill Show in 2013. In 2018, Chipukeezy began presenting his own show, the Chipukeezy Show, which aired on Ebru TV till 2019.

Notably, in 2021, Chipukeezy was elected Vice Chairperson of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug Abuse (NACADA).

During a recent candid interview with a local media outlet, Chipukeezy revealed that his family practices polygamy. He stated that one lady is insufficient for him and expressed a desire to carry on his polygamous family’s traditions.

“Now I am doing interviews. I am not in a hurry to marry but I want to retire before am 40. Before 40 I would have married. I can’t marry one wife. I have space for three wives that I can accommodate till I die,” he said.

Advocating for polygamy, Chipukeezy attributed his lifestyle choice to his family’s legacy. Chipukeezy says he wants people to support polygamy instead of surporting gayism.

“Mzee wetu alikuwa na saba, mwenye amezaa guka ya mamangu alikuwa na wanne. Hii ni kitu tumefunzwa, we can not have this discussion. So hata ukiona sina mtu, usifikirie sina mtu, wengine wako leave. I am polygamous man. How do we now not support polygamy and support a gayism. Why would you support a gay man? You guys should be supporting me badala ya kusupport mashoga ,support hawa watu wanapenda madem wengi, I am polygamous and proud,” he said.

He shared that his grandfather also had seven wives. All of whom he cared for without neglect. After succeeding in this, Chipukeezy decides to follow in his father’s footsteps because polygamy is also tolerated in their house and community.
