Pastor Kanyari apologized to Kenyans in a video after receiving backlash for entertaining a woman who gave him condoms at a live church session.

In a video shared on his TikTok account,  that he was also not expecting such a gift to be presented to him right at the altar.

“Lakini ndani ya moyo niliskia nimeudhika and I’m here to apologize, I’m here to make this statement and say I’m sorry I’m sorry ,sorry mara mia moja,”Kanyari apologized

Faith Mutindi is the TikToker who presented Pastor Kanyari with a package at the church altar last Sunday. Upon unwrapping, it contained personal care items, including a Kotex liner, Arimis petroleum jelly, and a pack of condoms.

Speaking in an interview, Faith defended her conduct, saying she thought the church needed people who were not afraid to speak out on issues like safe sex education.

She also addressed the backlash she received for providing such things to a religious figure, saying that talking about safe sex practices shouldn’t be seen as shameful.

In order to investigate potential legal action against the preacher, the former KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua, promised to get in touch with the relevant authorities. He voiced concern about the improper use of digital media, which has the potential to normalize negative behaviour.
