Media personality Betty Kyallo has addressed claims of being snatched an expensive car by former Mombasa governor Hassan Joho.

The politician allegedly gifted Betty a Porsche Cayenne worth Ksh10 million while they were dating a few years back. This was shortly after Betty’s marriage with journalist Dennis Okari ended.

However when their relationship ended Joho repossessed the vehicle in a dramatic manner. According to reports, Betty was driving along Mombasa road when she was stopped by Joho’s bodyguards who took over the car. They are said to have asked her to remove her belongings from the vehicle before handing over the car keys. The car was later used for campaigns during 2017 general elections.

It is also alleged that she was kicked out of Joho’s Kilimani home. A BMW X6 that he had given her was also repossessed.

Speaking to Radio Jambo recently, the former news anchor denied the allegations saying Joho did not shame her to that extend. Betty Kyallo said that their ended their relationship amicably and currently they are good friends.

“That story was so fake. That never happened. He was such a nice guy. Right now we are just friends, he was so cool. We are really good we are so happy for such a long time. He is such a nice guy, he didn’t do any of those things, tuliachana vizuri. For a whole year, he paid for everything including DSTV, he really took care of me,” the mother of one told Massawe Japani.

Her sister Mercy who also present confirmed that Joho indeed took care of Betty Kyallo well.

“I can testify, I remember I was there, it was a conversation of ask Betty how she would love me to support her incase of everything,” Mercy said.

Asked on whether they broke up because she cheated, Betty said “I don’t know how to cheat.”

She also said that she can’t go back to Joho incase he decides to come back because she is currently happy with the person she is dating.

“I am happy right now. I am happy with whoever I am with right now,” she said.
