Harambee Stars will play against Burundi on 7th June then against Ivory Coast on 11th June at Bingu Stadium in Malawi.

Baron Ochieng is expected to Join the team today before their first match against Burundi on Friday.

His call-up comes amid last changes by coach Engin Firat due to some injuries that players that were earlier called encountered.

Ochieng has been on top form over the last six months. A period which he represented Kenya U18 in CECAFA tournament.

Also in March, he was part of the squad of Kenya U20 that participated in Four Nations tournament in Malawi.

His team, Sofapaka, took to X to celebrate his milestone.

“Congratulations Baron Ochieng for your call up to the national team duties. Tunakuamini. Continue to raise the,” Sofapaka tweeted.

Ochieng’s first encounter with the national team came in 2020 while he was still studying at Dagoretti High School. He featured at the national team for the Under 17s.

“I am looking forward to playing for the senior team. That has always been my dream. It is my wish to represent the country,” he said in May.
