A recent photo of Mugithi singer Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh, alongside his first wife Edday Nderitu has caused a abuzz on social media.

Samidoh is currently in US where Edday and their 3 children relocated to.

Taking to her Instagram, Edday shared the photo, evidently showing they were spending some quality time. The photo clearly indicated that the couple had  left behind their endless marital drama, that was paraded on social media, forcing Edday to relocate.

Netizens on the comment section showed some love to the two and bashed Karen Nyamu, Samidoh’s baby mama, who was supporting the Finance Bill 2024.

The Nominated senator’s flippant comment in which she pointed out that she uses “tampons” is what  caused the outrage.

The senator was not fazed by the comments and responded: “Only imported brands attract that tax. Encouraging local manufacturing of sanitary towels and diapers. Why not? So many Chinese companies already manufacturing here exactly what we import. At least the labour and raw materials is ours.”

The mother of three was questioned about Samidoh’s recent encounters with Edday in US in a previous interview ,Karen stated that she is not jealous that her baby daddy is out of the country to see his other family.

“ Hapana siwezi kuwa na wivu hata kidogo ,” She said, adding that the important thing is peace and raising the kids.

In May 2023, Edday made the choice to  relocate to the US, which brought attention to their split.

The move marked a new chapter for the family, introducing them to a different environment and lifestyle.

She made it clear in her public statement that she wasn’t a part of a polygamous marriage and emphasized that she made the decision to leave the “toxic environment” because of the “unbelievable behavior displayed.”

She recognized Senator Karen Nyamu as a contributing factor to the difficulties she and Samidoh faced.

Karen, who shares two children with the artist ,openly shared their relationship on social media, showcasing family moments with Samidoh and the children after Edday’s departure.
