Nominated senator Karen Nyamu is elated after successfully restoring her WhatApp Account.
On her Insta story, Nyamu said that she has God’s favour and that is why she is always tough headed. She further urged her followers to continue sending her money as they verify her identity.
“My WhatsApp is back hehehe. My enemies will never win. Me ni kalastborn ka God ndio maana nina kichwa ngumu. Pesa zimuok kumuok. 5 bob kuenda juu,” she said.
Karen Nyamu had earlier taken to her Instagram account to share her frustrations after losing her WhatsApp account. Her account was banned because of receiving lots of messages.
“Despite sending me a lot of 1ksh and 5 ksh you can see what texting me constantly on WhatsApp has done tukware ,mume furahi sasa siwezi chat sindio ?,” Nyamu wrote.
The whole saga started when contacts of government officials were leaked. The move was aimed convincing leaders to reject the Finance Bill when it was presented to parliament.
Karen Nyamu however made it very clear that she is supporting the Finance Bill and proceeded to make insensitive remarks .
Nyamu angered a lot of Kenyans after she stated she didn’t care about sanitary towels being heavily taxed as she does not even use them in the first place.
The mother of 3 shared this while engaging in heated debates with netizens calling her out for defending the bill.
“Why not? So many Chinese companies already manufacturing here exactly what we import. At least the labour and raw materials is ours,” she argued
These remarks didn’t sit too well with musician Nadia Mukami .Reacting to Karenzo’s remarks, Nadia shared a screen grab of the enraging comments accompanied by a lengthy post calling out the nominated senator.
“Imagine there are girls in marginalized areas who go to the extent of having s3x for pads, girls who skip school during those days of the month! Pads nikiwa high school zilikuwa 45 – 55 bob ile packet ya 5 saa hii ni 80 -120!,”Nadia wrote.
Nyamu isn’t the only one who found herself on the wrong side with Netizens over the Bill. KRG has also sufferred consequences of supporting the bill by losing his TikTok account and experiencing a mass unfollowing on IG.
