Eric Omondi’s fiancee Lynne has stated that since his arrest outside parliament for protesting against the Finance Bill, Omondi’s whereabouts cannot be tracked and his phone has been switched off.

According to her, she went to Central Police Station where he was allegedly taken by police but he is nowhere to be found and she cannot trace him.

” It’s so unfortunate that @ericomondi my love was arrested earlier on today and till now we can’t trace him at all. We are at Central Police Station where he was brought and all evidence is online but the police keep playing us,” she stated.

She posed a question to the police, demanding for his whereabouts and the reasons why they are hiding him.

” Our question is where is @ericomondi and why are you hiding him! Release Eric Omondi,” she said.

Lynne was further distressed because it is a special day for their family in honour of Eric’s deceased younger brother Fred.

“Today is a very important day for our family and for Fred,” she said adding that she was not aware Eric was planning to protest

Crazy Kennar shared on X that he has received information from the legal team representing Omondi and according to them he is nowhere to be found.

”I have received a call from the legal team in Central Police Station with this message. Where is Eric Omondi?” he wrote

Omondi courageously made his way to the parliament buildings on Friday morning in order to give a message regarding the Finance Bill 2024.

He claimed that he was sent to caution the president and members of parliament against trying to pass the controversial bill.

“They send us  to resist the Finance Bill 2024. If the parliament of Kenya passes the Bill, this country will never be the same again that is the message I have been send to tell you. The president should not attempt to sign that bill into ;law, it is punitive inaumiza vijana, mama mboga, watu wa cancer, imeguza pampers mpaka dawa ya watoto,” he said.
