Kenyan Afropop boy band Sautisol, have posted a throwback photo on their Instagram page with the late Jahmby Koikai stating that she was their first ever manager.
With an emotional caption, they described how she played a big part in their early stages as a band.
“Sad day, forever in our hearts. Jahmby Koikai was our first ever manager. Played a big part in our early stages as a band. The industry has lost a gem. The country has lost a warrior.The heavens have gained an angel.Rest in power. Your spirit lives on forever,” the boy band said.

Jahmby Koikai was a beloved figure in the entertainment industry. As the creator of Street Empire Entertainment and a reggae emcee, she had a lengthy career in entertainment.
Jahmby Koikai’s uncle introduced her to the genre, which had an impact on her over the course of her two-decade career in entertainment. She was trained as a DJ at first, but emceeing became her love.
In addition, she established Street Empire Entertainment and became well-known for her ability to present reggae concerts both domestically and abroad.
She rose to fame due to her talent and perseverance, which opened doors for her to work with Metro FM, KBC from 2008 to 2012, and the Nation Media Group in 2012.
Jahmby collaborated with well-known reggae DJs during her tours, including DJ Double Trouble and Selekta Technix.
She was part of the panelists on NTV’s ‘The Trend’ before she left to seek treatment in the U.S
When Jahmby was 13 years old, her life drastically changed after receiving an endometriosis diagnosis.
Her lifelong chronic disease resulted in excruciating agony and problems. Her thoracic endometriosis deteriorated in 2015, resulting in repeated operations and collapsing lungs.
She underwent treatment locally and in the U.S. which cost her financially.
Her gutsy social media sharing of her endometriosis journey became a platform for activism and awareness.
On June 4th, 2024, while undergoing treatment at Nairobi Hospital, Jahmby succumbed to her battle with endometriosis.
