Murang'a seal

Juma Abdallah, who is former coach of Bandari and Sofapaka, has brought a fresh perspective and strategic approach to the club since he was appointed, thus leading to significant improvements of the club in the FKF premier league.

Under  leadership of the veteran coach, Murang’a seal have won 3 matches and drawn 4 in their last 13 matches.

Reflecting on his initial challenges, Juma said, “I joined the team after 18 matches and the team had not performed well. I found players whose spirit was at the lowest point, but eventually , I am happy we overcame and now my boys are in high spirits and this has helped us turn around the results.”

Juma tactical acumen was evident during Seal’s recent 1-1 draw with Ulinzi stars at Ulinzi Compex in Nairobi.

Despite securing a valuable point away, Juma acknowledged that his players were visibly fatigued, struggling to maintain the pace of the game.

“This is our debut in the top-tier league and I feel my players are tired after playing hard matches back to back,” he noted.

“I saw my players dragging their feet especially in the last 20 minutes. I have been in this game for long and I can tell my boys are fatigued.”

The upcoming one week FKF international break comes at an opportune time, allowing Juma’s recharge and recuperate.

“We started by facing Gor Mahia , Tusker, Kariobangi Sharks and we have played Ulinzi another formidable side”, he explained underscoring the demanding nature of their recent fixtures.

Despite the fatigue, Juma has been  able to instill a resilient mindset in his players. Joe Waithira’s goal in the 57th minute against Ulinzi stars demonstrated Seal’s attacking potential, though it was later equalised by former Tusker player Boniface Muchiri.

Juma anticipates the final match against Shabana, noting the rivalry from their NSL days. He is determined to secure a top 10 finish for the team, which currently occupies 12th position with 37 points, just 6 points clear from the relegation zone.
