Renown rapper Stevo Simple Boy has claimed that Tanzanian Singer Diamod Platnumz requested to have a collabo with him.
According to the popular rapper, he however turned down the offer, asking Diamond to be patient.
“Diamond alikuwa amenitext nikamwambia asubiri kidogo. Alikuwa anataka collabo. Hapa kuna Diamond wa Kenya. Diamond amevuka lakini anafa pia ajue kuna Diamond mwingine amekuja hatari,” he told Digital Creator Trudy Kitui.
Asked on how much he would charge Diamond for a collabo, Stevo said that Kshs20 Million.
“Kama si 20 million hakuna collabo,” he insisted.
Aside from that, Stevo said that he would only work with the Tanzanian superstar if goes back to doing Bongo music as before. Currently, Diamond has focused more on Amapiano, a genre that originated from South Africa.
“Amapiano is another country’s music genre. So he needs his own unique style,” Stevo said.
He went on to describe himself as a humble person who doesn’t like wronging others. He also said that he is always ready to be corrected.
Stevo is currently winning more fans with the great hits that he has released in the near past, many congratulating him on the great improvement on his vocals. After going silent, after fainting on national TV due to stress and issues with his now former management, he made a comeback with a song titled Shega. The song has garnered over 610,000 views. He went on to drop another song titled Vile Inafaa which is also doing well on YouTube, garnering close to 90K views within two weeks.
