Supermetro has confirmed the death of their tout Gerald Mwangi

Mwangi’s death comes just days after he was involved in an accident while in the line of duty that landed him in a coma.

“Familia yetu ya Supermetro we have lost a hero but ni will ya God,” the company stated on IG.

“Gerald died at around 10:30 pm on Thursday, October 10. He was at the critical unit for close to a week after the accident. His heartbeat was low, and, therefore, he could not be taken to the theatre. Blood was not flowing to his body, and one of the legs started to decompose, leading to an amputation,” another Supermetro official further said.

Mwangi breathed his last at the Kenyatta National Hospital where he was receiving treatment.

Earlier, the transport company shared a post appealing for blood donations to aid his treatment.

“Mwangi got involved in an accident in the line of duty and he urgently needs us pals. Kindly let’s support him. Thank you and be blessed,” Supermetro said .

Gerald was the cousin of Instagram Influencer Murugi Munyi, who ho has mourned his death saying he had a promising future.

“Rest in peace Cuz. You had so much life left to live. We will miss you,” she said on Instagram.

“He was so passionate about his work! Such a testament that whatever work you are involved in be excellent stand out. RIP Gero,” she added.

Mwangi went viral last year as women drooled over him because of his good looks.  Many secretly took his videos while on duty, confessing how he was giving them sleepless nights.
