M-pesa users are having a rough time as the application has failed to function leading to chaos on businesses and individuals who rely on the digital transaction.
In response to the issue, Safaricom Care has addressed has released a statement through it’s socials promising that the issue is being looked into.
”We regret thee is a general outage affecting M-PESA services on STK and APP. This is being addressed with utmost priority. Apologies for the inconvenience caused,” the service provider said.
Mpesa users who attempted to transact received a message informing them that the system was under maintenance.

“M-pesa is experiencing delays., and is not able to accept your request. Please wait for 10 minutes before trying again,” other users were informed.
Social media users have complained on how it is affecting the transactions:
”Niko kwa matatu honda amesema anataka cash,” a netizen commented on the outage.
”Wameamua kutesa ruto coz hakuwapea tender ya sms za KCSE,” another jested.
”Na vile ni back to school,” social media user marymutiomulwa pointed.
