Controversial Pastor Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism church gifted an artist who hails from Murang’a 10,000 shillings for drawing him and his wife.

The second-year university student visited the church with the drawings on Sunday, catching the attention of Ng’ang’a.

According to him, he drew the portraits last year, with coloured pencils, while in Murang’a county, leaving the preacher mesmerised. He questioned the artist how much he charges  for each of his work and he said,” I have never sold any, but you can promote me.”

Ng’ang’a offered him Kshs 500, but he rejected saying it was too little. He increased the offer to Kshs2,000 to which the university student agreed.

From the video captured by Sasa Tv, the preacher however increased the offer from Kshs 500 to Kshs10,000. He urged the young man to also bring other people to the church.

“Hio ni kumpatia spiritual support kwa sababu ni kijana mdogo aendeleze hio. You see now you can see who is inside, ametokezea. Hivyo ndivyo nanyi nawaambia nani yuko ndani yako kama wewe una kazi ya Mungu basi ionekane kwa matendo, ukuje na mtu, na mwingine,” he went on to encourage his congregants.

He added that he would bring members to his previous church until his pastor advised him to open his own church.

Earlier this year, Pastor ng’ang’a left Kenyans talking after asking his church members to give him Kshs1,000 as gifts for the festive season.

In a video that was shared online, the followers willingly obliged with their pastor’s requests and showed up in large numbers at the pulpit to deliver their gifts.

“The minister of God is going to celebrate Christmas. Give me KSh 1,000. Some of you have given KSh 2,000,”Ng’ang’a was heard saying.
