Comedian Mulamwah has reacted after his baby mama Carol Muthoni changed their daughter’s name.
Their daughter, previously known as Keilah Oyando, is now Keilah Chloe Wangui Muthoni.
The actress and social media influencer announced the change of name in a video she shared on YouTube in November 2023.
Mulamwah however engaged his fans in a question and answer session on Thursday and one wanted to know his thoughts about the name change.
“Keilah Oyando is now Muthoni Waithera,” the fan told HIM.
Mulamwah responded to the comment with laughing emoji accompanied by a video of him and his heavily pregnant wife discussing about their unborn child’s name, as they enjoyed chewing sugarcane.
In the video, Ruth asked Mulamwah to suggest some of the names that they should give their son who will be born soon.
Mulamwah however disagreed saying that women had the habit of changing names that their partners give to children.
“Na hii mchezo yenu mtu anapatia mtoto majina halafu baadaye huko anakuja kubadilisha mimi sitaki hio mchezo. Unapatia mtoto majina baadaye unaskia ni Clinton,” he said.
The couple has been updating fans about their rural life, during the December festive holidays.
They did not shy away from shooting videos and taking photos at Mulamwah’s humble background in Kitale.
In a tweet, Mulamwah shared a photo with his bestie in their rural home bedroom saying, ” tumerudi mapema kwa sababu ya fisi.”
This however did not sit well with a section of netizens, with some claiming that they were glorifying poverty.
“Unapenda kuglorify poverty,” an X user told him
“Pole tajiri, sasa nipost ndege na sina,” Mulamwah responded.
