Mike Sonko has revealed that Kimani Mbugua and another NTV journalist have fully recovered months after being taken to Mombasa Rehabilitation Centre.

Sonko praised God following the duo’s recovery.

“Jameni kuna Mungu mbinguni na acheni aitwe Mungu. Former Royal Media journalist and his NTV colleague Eunice Omollo are healed and fully recovered,” he said.

Sonko also revealed that a former NTV Health reporter Nasibo Kabale who went viral a few weeks ago is also proceeding well with treatment, adding that her family requested for privacy.

“But we respect her family’s decision ya kuavoid media for now,” he said.

This comes at a time when Kimani has warmed the hearts of netizens as he was captured singing passionately while in rehab. In the video, he impressively sang along Sauti Sol’s song Feel My love.

Also netizens did not miss the fact that he had added some weight.

The former royal media journalist was airlifted to Mombasa in June this year for further treatment. At first, he had been admitted at Mathari Mental Hospital.

Kimani’s mental issues began after his drink was spiked with cocaine excessively as he celebrated his birthday in 2020. He later began smoking bhang further worsening his situation. He also recorded his disturbing videos and shared them online, forcing Obinna and other well wishers to re-admit him at Mathari.
