National Assembly Majority Leader and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa has revealed that the days of abducting Kenyans, killing them, and dumping their bodies in River Yala are over.

On a recent video on X,Ichungwa assured Kenyans that abduction and killings will never happen in kenya and he will check with the Inspector General to see whether Gabriel Oguda has been arrested by the police.

“When this administration took over the reigns of leadership in this country,none other than president Ruto committed that the days of finding kenyans being abducted and killed and their bodies being dumped in river Yala or river Tana,we are beyond those days”Ichungwa said

Since the demonstartions began, there has been ongoing abductions of protest leaders who are subsequently released without charges. In the past three days alone, three digital personalities have been abducted in connection to the protests.

Vocal social media and political activist Gabriel Oguda was among 9 people who were rounded up at dawn on Tuesday, June 25, hours to Finance Bill demonstrations.

In his last message before going offline, Gabriel Oguda remarked that cops were at his gate.

Kenya Kwanza-affiliated leaders  scoffed at growing attempts by youthful protestors to halt the Finance Bill 2024.

Led by National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa the leaders claim the group is composed of the elites who rely on iPhones and online taxis to attend protests.

“The Gen Z have iphones and use Ubers to protest. Wanatoka maandamano wanaingia KFC kukula kuku na minofu, maji ni ile ya chup[a…si mliwaona? Hawajui shida stima ni kitu gani…wako na umeme 24/7,” he said.
