Kenyan actress and influencer Jacky Vike alias Awinja compliments men who actively help in raising their children; noting challenges faced by single mothers.

Awinja shared, “It’s an issue of concern but first things first, I don’t think there is any woman who would wish to be a single mother. No woman gets pregnant to raise the child alone.”

The actress believes that every mother considers many things that maybe convincing for them to make that bold decision of getting pregnant.

“I believe every single mother has a reason why she found herself in that space at that time and that’s why I find present fathers a turn-on,” Vike stated.

Vike encourages single mothers to be careful when raising a child. That they should prioritize their well-being.

“You have to be thoughtful of yourself first whenever you’re raising a child. If you are in a good space mentally, health-wise, or physically then it’s going to be easy. It doesn’t matter if you are a single mother or not, you can do it.”

She admitted that it is not easy to raise a child alone but sometimes it is the children who gives you purpose that keeps you going.

“It’s not easy but you can. Sometimes we don’t realize that these children keep us going, they give us a purpose. Maybe without them we would have ended up in far worse situations,” she adds.

In relation to this, Kenyan celebrities have shared their thoughts and experiences on co-parenting.

Recently, Kenyan singer Jovial took on social media, “Co-parenting has got to be one of the most draining things on this earth,” highlighting how draining it can be.

Jovial acclaimed that in most cases one party thinks is usually very bitter thinking that they are getting back at their ex, when the real victim is the child.

She also commented on the importance of mental and psychological preparedness for parenthood.

“When you tell your close people you are having a baby, they will warn you about body changes, but you need to prepare yourself mentally and psychologically!”

Jovial went on to advice, “Have that child when you are ready to have that child.”

Akothee once mentioned that “Do you think you have challenges in co-parenting? Wait until he ignores the instructions issued by the law-the same court he took himself.”
