African and commonwealth games 100M champion Ferdinand Omanyala has taken to social media to break his silence after failing to secure a spot in Men’s 100M Finals, at the Paris Olympics 2024, that occurred on Sunday night.

In his message, Omanyala showed positivity over the results and thanked everyone who believes in Kenyan sprint.

“Whatever you’re facing right now—it’s not the end of your story. God is with you and always will be. Thank you to everyone who believes that the Kenyan sprint story will never be the same again,” he said.

Omanyala failed to push through to finals after running 10.08 seconds in the third heat of the semi-finals, finishing at the 8th position. He qualified for the semis after running the race in the same time.

Among those who beat him in the semi-finals are Jamica’s Kishane Thompson, who won by 9.80 seconds and USA’s Fred Kerly who came second with 9.84.

USA’s Noah Lyles bagged gold in the finals  in 9.97 seconds, Kishane settled for Silver with 9.97 seconds while Fred Kerly, another American, got the bronze medal after taking the third position with 9.81 seconds.
