Media personality Betty Kyallo has taken legal action against people who defame her brand without any factual information.
On a recent post on her Instagram page, Betty wrote that the bloggers do this for clicks, likes and views that is detrimental to all the hardwork she has put in over the years.
“There has to be consequences for such malicious actions. I will no longer be tolerating such spiteful,evil intentioned,fake and false stories against me.”she added.
On the post she attached a letter from her lawyer directing it to blogger Edgar Obare, the owner of BNN AFRICA blog page.
On the letter, the legal representatives accused the blogger for posting false information about their client Betty and her boyfriend Charlie on July 7th 2024.The post read;
‘Betty Kyallo and her ben 10 Charlie Jones allegedly ran away with another bill at Silverstone Hotel ‘
They demanded for the removal of the post or story which is still accessible to the 182,000 followers and or readers which continues to be read electronically and circulated to other social media platforms whose following continues to rise with each passing day.
The post and or comment contained various allegations, institutions and innuendos of and respecting clients which are entirely false and which have no basis or foundation whatsoever.
The lawyer claimed that as a matter of fact and to the best of their clients knowledge, they have never ran away from any hotel without settling their bill as the post suggested.
The BNN AFRICA blog page has been given till Friday 12th July to receive positive response to the demands set out ,failure to which appropriate legal proceedings against them will be taken.
