Fast-rising Kenya Police centre-back Brian Okoth is delighted after receiving his first National team call up barely three months after joining the club .

Okoth was included in the Harambee stars 25 man provisional squad that will represent the country for the 2026 world cup Qualifiers against Burundi and Ivory coast.

Kenya will face Burundi on June 7th in Malawi before travelling to Abidjan for a clash with the AFCON champions four days later.

Out of the five new players summoned to the team by coach Firat, only Okoth plays in the local league.

Reacting to the news of his inclusion in the team, the left-footed center-back says he is glad his performance on the pitch didn’t go unnoticed.

“I am  happy to receive my first National team call-up less than three years since my top-flight debut. Getting a slot in the team is a dream come true. I consider it a reward for the hard work that I have been putting at club level” He said.

Okoth, is a fourth year student at Masinde Muliro university pursuing Bachelor of Public relations and Advertising made his top-flight bow in February 2022 at Vihiga Bullets.
