CCTV footage captured the incident where Shad Khalif, a well-known Kenyan social media , was reportedly kidnapped on Sunday night in South B by undercover police officers.
This was purportedly brought about by his fervent participation in the rallies against the finance bill. He had no idea that anonymous people were trailing him, watching every of his move.
In the now viral video, he is seen at a joint in South B Sanasana when at least three people arrest him and forcefully put him in a car, that was parked at the establishment’s parking lot.
They leave, leaving the restaurant’s clients and bystanders perplexed. Kenyans have taken to social media after his kidnapping, demanding his quick release.
After being kidnapped, the activist’s whereabouts are still unknown.

Kenyans on X also shared the details of the vehicle that was used to kidnap Shad and asked for help in tracing its whereabouts as well as the owner of the said vehicle.
Speaking on Citizen TV on Wednesday, June 19, Kiprono affirmed that prior to the protests on Tuesday, June 18, he was not an activist nor a member of Generation Z.
Kiprono explained that he had been using his X account to figure out how to join the protests when he was questioned about his involvement in the demonstrations.
His tweet went viral, and a lot of young people identified and started following him the day of the event.
Shad Khalif becomes the latest activist to be abducted by undercover police as they had kidnapped Dr Austin Omondi on Sunday afternoon before releasing him later the same day.
They had also kidnapped Billy also known as Crazy Nairobian on X following his active protests against the Finance Bill.
