Kenyan premier league side Gor Mahia winger Shariff Musa has said he is proud of the decision he made during the mid-season transfer window.
Musa ditched Bidco united, where he was thriving, for Gor in the mid-season window, a move that caught many by a surprise.
However Musa hit the ground running at Gor and his efforts and those of his teammates were rewarded yesterday after clinching the league title.
” I had a good first leg with Bidco and had an option of featuring to the up to the end of the season. When Gor offered a deal, I decided to take it although it wasn’t an easy one to make. I worked hard at Gor and am happy with the rewards,” he said.
Besides winning the league, Musa’s displays at Gor earned him his first Harambee stars call up in March when coach Engin Firat included him in the squad that played the four nations tournament in Malawi.
Although he didn’t make his debut, the former Kariobangi sharks player is happy to have secured such a milestone in his second season in the top tier league.
” It has been a successful season in many fronts. All these could not have happened if I didn’t take the choice in February,” Musa added.
