Azimio leaders led by Raila Odinga are in Homa Bay for investment Conference being hosted by Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga at Tom Mboya University grounds.

Kalonzo Musyoka, DAP party leader Eugine Wamalwa, and Charity Ngilu are just among those who will be gracing the event. The three-day event is set to take place from February 27th to 29th, 2024 and it aims to draw both international and local investors to tap into the county’s investment potentiality.

One of the agendas that the Azimio brigade is expected handle is to drum support for their leader who is eyeing the African Union chairmanship.

Both Kenya Kwanza and Opposition leaders have shown support for Raila to hold the topmost seat in the continent.

The lakeside region is a Raila stronghold in terms of political support as residents of these areas have been turning out in large numbers to support the former prime minister his various presidential bids.

On Tuesday during president Ruto’s visit to the county, allies of Raila being led by senator Kajwang urged the president to do everything possible his power to ensure the Azimio leader clinches the top seat Africa. They said they support the diplomacy caravan being undertaken by the president.

At the same time Governor Gladys Wanga thanked the President for the ongoing developments that are being undertaken in the county including the affordable housing project of 110 units that are being constructed as well as the fish markets, renovation of Homa Bay, Mbita and Kendu Bay landing place and other fish landing sites

During his visit to the county the president lauded the governor of Homa Bay for her collaboration with the national government for the construction of affordable housing that will create employment to the residents of Homa Bay.
