Some areas in Nairobi are set to experience Water shortage between Wednesday February 14 to Thursday 15, 2024.

According to Nairobi water and sewerage company the disruptions will be witnessed from 6 am.

In a notice issued on Monday the sewerage company said that there will be a shutdown of the water pipeline from Gigiri Reservoir to Karura Reservoir (Outering road).

The move is aimed at facilitating a conflicted pipeline.

“The Shutdown will facilitate the relocation of the water pipeline in conflict with the office construction site in the United Nation Offices at Gigiri,” Nairobi water stated.

Water supply will be interrupted in areas such as; UN Complex, Muthaiga North, Windsor, Mathare, GSU Headquarters, Garden City, Babadogo estate, Ridgeways and Ngumba.

Areas and estates along Outering Road that will also be affected include Umoja 1, Dandora area 1, Tssia, Donholm, Fedha, Nyayo, Kware, Embakasi and other parts within Pipeline area as well as areas within Huruma estate.

“During the time we will be restoring water supply after the completion of the shutdown, we request that all residents within the affected areas to use their stored water sparingly. -; Said the Water Company.
