Akothee has come out guns blazing after critics of anti-Finance Bill protests linked those protesting to single mothers.

In a long social media post, Akothee defended children raised by single mothers, stating that it’s not their fault that they grew up without a father figure .

“Are single mothers not parents, if the father’s ran away, what should we do as mothers?run too?” she posed.

Known as the single mother’s President,  Akothee pointed out that the Gen Zs might have been brought up by single mothers thus explaining how fearless they are .

“Generation z might have been brought up by single mothers as you think and this is why they are fearless,” she wrote, pointing out that many of these children have seen their mothers being thrown out of their homes and how they struggled to take them to school and give them the best education possible .

She reminisced her time growing up stating that the government then didn’t use bullets or tear gas on young people instead all they knew was the famous maziwa ya nyayo, proceeding to add that only top government officials were loosing their lives .

Akothee also added that the cost of living was manageable, one could do something with Kshs100, unlike these time where the economy has fluctuated, this prices have hiked .

Addressing the government, Akothee warned them on going tough on the youngins insinuating that they have nothing to lose because of the hardships they have gone through in life while being raised by single mothers. She pleaded with the government not to harm children raised by single mum’s.

“Don’t touch the children of single mothers ,”she wrote.

Ending the long post by stating that the finance bill should be put on hold until there is dialogue. Although many sided with her, others wanted her to make her stance clear on where she stands many saying that the bill should be rejected and that isn’t debatable.

Since the demos began two young people have lost their lives and several others injured and currently in hospitals. Several leaders of the protests have also been arrested including Shadrack Kiprono.
