Maribe

Former Citizen TV Journalist Jacque Maribe has embarked on her duties as the Heads of Communication for the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Mnagement.

Maribe accompanied CS Moses Kuria to Nakuru during his tour of vocational training centres, according to a video shared online, thus raising questions among Kenyans as others called out the Public Service Commission(PSC) for lying.

“This country is the perfect circus. Don’t be surprised to learn Martha Karua is a CS without portfolio because what is this now?” Ezo Staizola said on X.

“Maribe is earning a salary already as a head of communication nyinyi muendelee kufuata maneno ati she’s not employed,” Jay Paul commented while another X user said, “She could have been there as a guest of CS Kuria. Is there anything wrong with that?”

This comes shortly after the Public Service disowned her appointment in Kuria’s ministry. In a statement, PSC insinuated that there had been no vacancy in the position and once it would arise, recruitment would be done through a competitive process.

“The Public Service Commission has not appointed former Royal media Services Journalist Jacque Maribe as the Head of Communication at the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management, contrary to social media posts attributed to Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria,” PSC clarified in statement.

The commission added that it had not received any requests seeking to employ Maribe as the Head of Communication.

“PSC chairperson Amb. Anthony Muchiri clarified that no such appointment has been made, neither has a request to employ her been received by the body,” PSC said.
