Bursary

Nakuru West MP Samuel Arama has scolded hundreds of members of his constituency who showed up at CDF offices to pick bursary forms.

Arama was not pleased that his constituents had crowded the offices yet they have the whole of February to get the forms, and it would have been more orderly and convenient if a small number showed up each day.

The lawmaker wondered if those lining up had no jobs to do.

“Habari zenu, unajua nyinyi watu ni kama mmkeosa kazi ya kufanya form zitapeana hapa the whole of this month why are you all coming to heap here, si wengine wakuje wakuje wengine [wabaki]. Mkikija wengi ni kama hamna kazi ya kufanya,” he said

Responding to him, the crowd told him that they actually have no jobs.

“Sawa basi kuja kila siku mwendelee  kukaa hapa tu haina shida sisi tutawapea mahali zitaishia mnakuja the following day,” he answered them.

Arama however suggested that they might be forced to avail the forms on the website so that those in need can spend Kshs20 to access them but the crowd was not willing to go for the option.

“I wanted to help you lakini sasa tutaanza kukosana na nyinyi, badala niweke kwa website uende utumie shilingi ishirini nikasema wacha tuwaekee hapa but you are becoming stupid  hamuoni mnakuwa wajinga,” he said.

A section of Kenyans online have however agreed with  the MP while others suggested that he was so full of himself.

“This one is behaving like the bursary is coming from his pocket, bursary is our taxes which is allocated to every constituency, kazi yake is just distribution,” one said.

Others  wrote, “Calling those who elected him fools.” “Hata wanashangaa website ndio nini tajiri hata akikutusi unacheka tu ndio usaidike.” “He is making total sense thou.”
