Radio girl Sheila Kwamboka alia Kwambox is trending for all the wrong reasons.
Kenyans on X have ganged up against the Kiss FM morning presenter after she made a comment, that many deemed insensitive, about Nigerians at a time when they are trending, after one was linked to the brutal murder of Rita Waeni, a fourth year student at Jomo Kenyatta University in Roysambu.
In a video that was originally shared on Kiss FM social media( now deleted) Kwambox was captured vibing to a Nigerian song.
In the middle of her dance, she said that she doesn’t care what Kenyans were currently feeling about Nigerians.
“Even if you guys are not feeling Nigerians this week, I don’t care. It is Wednesday and remember this year we said are being fearless, so whatever you think you are avoiding mmh, mmh,” Kwambox said on Wednesday.

Her remarks have seen her being attacked fiercely, with some calling for her firing from the Radio Africa-owned radio station
“Kiss 100 with their biased reporter Kwambox have deleted their tweet but at what cost? Women must be respected,” an X user said
“Kiss 100 wamedelete meaning wamejua Kwambox was wrong, sasa ndio wamedeclare war. We attack,” another wrote.
In a separate comment, another social media user noted that, “Kwambox is fearless. Kiss FM won’t fire her. She’s a lady guys! Shaffie weru was never given a chance to explain himself because he’s a man. Alifutwa tu kazi akiwa Kwa nyumba.”
“Feminists hukuwa na selective anger smh. Kwambox basically gave everyone the middle finger saying she doesn’t care what we think but she’s vibing with Nigerians. The same feminazis came for Shaffie when he told women to be careful before they meet strange men. Double standards!” said another as another wrote,”Meanwhile kiss fm should jus kapoow Kwambox outta the station!”
In March 2021, Shaffie Weru, DJ Joe Mfalme and Neville Musya were sacked from Homeboyz Radio, after blaming EuniceWangari Wakimbi, who was pushed by a man from the 12th floor of a building leaving her crippled. The victim reportedly met the man in question on Facebook and the man pushed her when she rejected his sexual advances.
The trio were discussing the story on-air.
