A bus belonging to Thika High School has been involved in an accident with a Public Servise Vehicle (PSV) matatu on Saturday around the Kuraiha-Mang’u High school footbridge.
According to witnesses, the matatu rammed into the school bus on the Saturday morning incident.
9 passengers travelling in the matatu were injured while the driver and one passenger were trapped in the front seats but were both rescued by the fire brigade and later rushed to hospital.
Luckily, none of the 47 students said to have been travelling to Nairobi for games were injured in the accident.
According to Police, the matatu was extensively damaged in the front and it was towed to the station while the bus was driven to the station and detained awaiting inspection.
