During campaigns for the 2022 general elections, the Roots Party leader George Wajackoya pledged to introduce snake farming if he is elected as the fifth president of Kenya, as one way of improving the country’s economy.
In a recent interaction with Pierra Makena’s daughter, Wajackoya explained to her how the snake farming would have been beneficial to the country, including making medicine.
“We extract poison, make medicine so that when a snake bites you we inject you with the same so that you don’t die. Number two, we remove the skin and sell it to Italy where they make leather jackets and shoes. Number three, we export the meet to China, what do you think? Number four, there are some people who run with snakes at night, we make tourists sites, so the tourists can come and see how these people run with snakes,” he said.
This however prompted Ricca to question Wajackoya if he felt bad when he lost elections.
“Yes, because they stole from me,” the politician responded.
The minor however disagreed with him, saying his idea of snake farming was the cause of his loss.
“It’s because of the snakes. If you didn’t put the snakes you could’ve won,” she said.
