Following an update from one of Kenyans finest dancer Moya David about his plans to patent his dancing styles Kenyans have raised various reactions about his plans.
Moya David revelated this during a recent interview with Spum Buzz noting that he will be taking legal actions against people copying and stealing his dance moves.
He said this noting that he originally came up with the moved and its unfortunate people are using them in a bad way.
” I have decided to patent my dance because it is something I came up with originally and it’s my creativity. It pains to see people using it in the wrong way and also people copying the dance without giving it the credit it deserves.”
However, his fans raised mixed reactions about his plans noting that it is too late since many people are using the style and the music he accompanies dances with is not his.
Last year a guy named Trevor reveled that Moya David called him demanding to know why he was copy-pasting his dress code, hairstyle, and everything.
Moya surprises his clients in dances synched with famous MI Amor by Joval and Tanzanian artist Marioo.
”I remember this guy he used Mario’s song and Mario didn’t took any legal action,,, so he should let people use his moves for freee yawa”
”I think we’re also going to sue him for using somebody’s song to get famous! So it’s either he rubbishes off this nonsense or allow them youths to copy his moves”
A section of fans saw the other side of the coin noting that he has become proud and threatening to sue people who use his craft to earn a living.
Moya David seems to be earning good through his dance surprises, last year he opened a spar at Kileleshwa and this year he opened a state of the art barber shop in Kitengela.
