Singer Willy Paul has come out to bash artists who saw him miss chance to worth with the Nigerian superstar Wizkid 4 years ago.

According to him, he lost the chance because some of the Kenyan artists are overrated but are fronted as big artists when it comes to international collabos.

He noted that such actions are destroying the Kenyan music industry. He urged Kenyans to support real talents, instead of supporting those who are overrated.

“Most Kenyan artists are just overrated and that’s the main sh*t killing the industry. I have the biggest song right now #Kuukuu, a song that came out 5 months ago. Stop praising this clowns. Support real talent, support real music. For a very long time, international act have been lied to, made to believe that mtu ama watu flani ndio the biggest. I lost a collabo to Wizkid because of this same issue 4 years ago. I’ve never talked about it. The people involved wanajijua,” he said.

With his recent breakthrough of a song he released with Jzyno, Willy believes that he is bound for greater things. The song has been trending since content creator Sheryl Gabriella put her voice on it while doing a TikTok video.

“But guess what, its all changing. Watch me and Sheryl. Asante sana for the support kwa kuukuu song. One love,” Willy Paul said.

In the past, Willy Paul revealed that he personally reached out to Wizkid for a collabo when he was in the country for a concert. All was well but Wizkid backed out of the deal at the last minute.

“Things were flowing well until someone told him that Willy Paul is not an established artist. That he is just trying,” he said then.
