Actor Malik Lemmy, known for his popular role as ‘Govi’ in the Machachari series, has through his Instagram stories showed off his new look after shaving his hair.

He says that he chose not to shave his hair and beards to stop being associated with the Govi character he played during his childhood days.

”The reason why I decided to grow out beards and hair was coz I wanted to stop being associated with a character I played for such a long time(I’m really grateful for the character because it has brought so much blessings to my life but I have so much to offer than being associated with that character),” Malik said.

The 23 year old slightly highlighted that with the new look of shaving his hair and beards reminds people of his old role that he played in Mchachari”Without hair and beards, the baby face comes out and reminds people of ‘Govi” he shared.

He jested that being in his mid- twenties with baby face would help a great deal, as time is flying fast for him.

“In my mid-twenties now, and a baby face would really help coz time pia inaenda sana,” he noted.

Malik revealed that it was after doing a voice over back in 2002  when he was only 2 years of age that his talent was noticed, and later in 2005 landed a role in ‘Makutano Junction’, that made him rise into fame and build a name for himself in the acting industry.

He later in 2018 parted ways in Machachari, leaving his fans from the Tv series with questions, but later explained that his exit was necessitated by the need to grow his craft beyond the role.

Malik who calls himself ‘Young Billionaire’ has also featured in other blockbuster series like ‘Drunk Dead’ ‘Pepeta,’ ‘Mawimbi’ and ‘Kutu,’ to name a few.
