Hamisa Mobetto has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry, garnering fans from her country Tanzania, East Africa and beyond.
Aside from being a model, video vixen and entrepreneur, she took a shot at music and she did well. Recently, she was asked if she would try film but she declined.
“I am so lucky. I have been approached by so many film producers here in the country but movies and series take such a long time to shoot and my time is very limited. I thank that I continue trending without involving myself with art, movies and music for now and other things,” the mother of two said.
She however didn’t rule out the possibility of joining the industry in future.
“I would consider it in future if I get enough time. I don’t like failing people so I will just focus on the things that I am able to do right now. In future, when I am ready then I will do it,” Hamisa said.
She also denied claims that what the film producers were offering her was way below.
“The money is not bad. Film industry has a lot of people, because that is how they sustain themselves. The money is good on every offer I have ever received the only issue is time,” she insisted.
In her music career, she dropped bangers like Sensema, madam hero and Ex wangu. She however took a break, saying she hadn’t planned it as a longterm career.
“I don’t see myself having a long musical career. I do music for fun, it’s a hobby. I had intended for my music career to have a short life span. I wanted to do like one or two songs. I accomplished what I wanted. In life, you are given a chance to do what you want to do, and if you are happy with it, then that’s you.”
“It is just a hobby, something that I do for fun, so I don’t believe there are challenges to me.” she said in April 2023.
