Famed Kenyan music group P-Unit’s lead rapper Francis Amisi, popularly known as Frasha has said that Wakadinali are the future of Kenyan music.
Speaking during the Mdundo music awards ceremony, the legendary rapper praised the boy group saying that they are headed for greatness with their trajectory.
“I think nimesemaa hii before. They are the future of Kenyan music and in a few years people will understand what I actually meant ,Wakadinali are the future of Kenyan music,’ He said .
Frasha was speaking in an interview with SPM BUZZ after receiving an award on behalf of the boy rap group organized by mdundo music platform.
“So niko na award ya most downloaded male artists of the year na imeenda kwa wakadinali big shout out to wakadinali mahali wako i think they are doing the right thing for Kenyan music wamestay authentic you know kwa game and for me”. He said.
The legendary rapper – known for his smooth, cheeky lines during the group’s early years – has been in the music industry for 23 years before officially retiring in 23 February 2023.
Wakadinali is a Kenyan music group based in Nairobi’s Eastland area. The group focuses on the Hip-Hop genre of music. Wakadinali is made of three guys namely; Scar, Domani, and Sewer Sydaa. Scar and Domani are the principal founders. They are also known as Rong Rende1.
It’s evident that the rap group is taking over the kenyan rap space by their unique authentic style keeping it real with the ghetto culture mainly associated with the youths .
In recent years wakadinali has topped most stream list part from being in the top streamed list, Wakadinali were also the most searched artist on Spotify in Kenya, beating famous Kenyan musicians like Sauti Sol, Bien, Bensoul, Nyashinski, Nviiri, and Otile Brown, among others.
Wakadinali are the most loved boy rap group in Kenya.
