Trending fake lawyer Brian Mwendwa has spoken to the media for the first time after spending almost 10 hours in police custody.

The young intellect surrendered to the police to respond to impersonation claims that have been levelled against him and was bailed out on a bond of Kshs100,000.

Accompanying Brian was former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and the chair of Kenya University Students’ Organisation.

Speaking to the media, the former governor said that he would stick with Brian to the end. He further thanked  COTU chairman Francis Atwoli for his continued support on Mwenda’s case.

“I have to be there. Mimi nikisupport naanza mwanzo hadi mwisho. Siwachii kesi zangu katikati,” said  Sonko.

He added that he doesn’t minding helping the embattled intellect since he is a Kenyan. Sonko believes that Brian has not committed a crime since the law says that you are no criminal until  proven guilty.

The media  also sought a comment from Mwenda whereby he unveiled his desire to join politics in the next general elections.

“Like I mentioned, I am thinking about politics and I am very serious about it, and still, whoever was trying to break me or whoever is trying to break me, just watch me,” Brian said.

According to him, he might be the next MP for Mara constituency. He thanked all the comrades for supporting him during this period as KUSO vowed to stand with him to the end.

He further said that he would  create time and address his situation after the case is over and urged Kenyans and people all over the world to pray for him as he undergoes his trial.

Mwenda was however arraigned at the Milimani Law courts on Wednesday October 18 whereby he pleaded not guilty to the crimes he has been accused of.

He is facing charges of theft, forgery and fraudulently acquiring a certificate of admission among others.
