Former musician Vanessa Mdee acquired a new Mercedes Benz G- class after landing a lucrative endorsement deal.
In a post she shared on her Instagram, the mother of two said that she and her husband Rotimi acquired the car, in order to celebrate the new deal.
“We are celebrating a brand new endorsement deal. Glory to God. So we decided to treat ourselves to something special at the Mercedes Benz of Marietta,” Vanessa Mdee said in the video.
She was further captured trying out the car, with her husband cheering her on.
“Everywhere I go, they call me cash madame. Thanking God for new beginnings,” she captioned the video.
Many of her fans were pleased with the achievement, and they shared their heartfelt congratulations.”Hongera jameni, Mungu azidi kuwajalia heri na baraka,” one wrote. Another said, ” Hongera Vee. Huu upendo na fuiraha inayoonekana kati yenu Mungu azidi kuitunza milele.
In a separate comment, another netizen however though the couple was becoming extravagant and that the money they used in buying the luxurious car could have helped the less fortunate children especially in Tanzania, where Vanessa hails.
“Hizo pesa ungesaidia mayatima/less fortunate kwenu Tanzania. Gari ni gari bora ufike destination. Dah Wanadamu,” the netizen said.
Vanessa did not let the comment slide, choosing to address it as calmly as possible.
“We are under the same sky with different stories,” she said.
