The Kenyan music industry was thrown into mourning following the death of Ali Khamisi nMwaliguli aka Ally B.
The singer who is popular for songs such as Maria, Silali, Kadzo and Bembea passed away on Wednesday afternoon while being rushed to Coast General Hospital after a short illness.
Kenyans at large, from his fans, politicians and celebrities have shared comforting messages as others recalled the good times they spend with the legendary musician.
One of them is Akothee who thanked him for giving her a husband. According to the mother of five, the song Maria saw the father of her youngest child, Domic Decherf fall in love with her.

President William Ruto also joined Kenyans in mourning Ally B. In his condolence message, the head of state said,I join the music fraternity in mourning the passing of Ally B, a musician who harnessed his talent to foster unity and harmony in our society. Ali Khamisi Mwanguli inscribed his message of peace deep within our hearts, and we will forever carry that meaningful tune. May God provide solace to his family, friends and devoted fans.”
