Stevo Simple Boy’s manager Vaga Genious has denied claims of stealing the rapper’s money and mistreating him.
In an interview with Oga Obinna, Vaga said that they signed a contract that would see Steve get 40% of the money they would get from concerts and events while his management(Men In Business) will earn 60%.
Aside from that, the management also agreed to take care of all his bills including rent, food and clothing.
Stevo however was more of a liability to MIB. Vaga said that at times he would go deeper in his pocket for the sake of artist but the returns were not satisfactory.
He added that Stevo was making zero money from streaming platforms except YouTube but he had only made about Kshs20,000.
At the same time, Vaga revealed that Stevo had access to his YouTube and Instagram accounts except TikTok.
“Stevo is logged in as a manager on his own YouTube account. After Ruger’s event Stevo’s Instagram account was hacked. I worked so hard and it was recovered. I have never given him his TikTok, I will be honest, it’s business. When he was controlling, you find, I know Stevo, I know what he can post and what he can’t post, the wife was posting herself every time using Rayvanny songs I was like …We si fan wa hubby wako. I was expecting upost hapo Freshi Barida. I decided was like yoh men I have to get this things out and just control. She was misusing our business. I deleted everything instantly,” the manager said.
He however noted that Stevo wasn’t a bad person but he currently has wrong advisors.
“Anyway its not that Stevo is bad, I think the advisors around him…I have been holding the guy for the longest time believing that this one might be a breakthrough for him. I feel so bad for the guy but at the same time I want the best for him. Team iko around him, ingeona hawa wasee washaterminate contract lets call this other team for a sit down for the transition, that is his management, the wife and Mboya, it is an opportunity they have to use wisely,” Vaga said.
